Adult Faith Formation Committee

The mission of this parish committee is to conceive and implement programs to meet Parishioner's needs for faith development.

Catholic Women's League (CWL)

The CWL of Our Lady of good Counsel Parish was started in 1956 and dissolved in 1974. It was re-established in 1982 and has been serving our parish and community ever since.

Children's Liturgy

Provides ritual and catechesis for the children of the Parish at an age appropriate level, using music, video, crafts, and readings.

Christian Men's Group

The Christian Men's Group enoucourges all men to come and experience the word of God. Men meet and grow in fellowship in a comfortable, welcoming setting.

Evangelization

Our goal is to proclaim Jesus Christ and His Church to all people, to reach those who have strayed, those hurt and the indifferent with the desire for them to come into a personal relationship with Jesus. (by coco May 31 2007)

Knights of Columbus

Formed in 2005 as the Bishop Pappin Council, this group of men has quickly established itself as a growing and effective service organization of men in the Parish.

Liturgy

Dynamic and varied. Our Parish Liturgies run the gamit of Catholic worship from silent adoration & Benediction, to lively and charismatic Praise and Worship - with everything in between!

Music

At all our Liturgies, music is provided in varied ways to appeal to all tastes

Pastor's Advisory Council Team (PACT)

This Advisory Council assists the Pastor in fulfilling his role as leader of the faith community of Our Lady of Good Counsel. United in prayer, this group strives to achieve consensus in all decision making matters.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care is concerned with continuing the Ministry of Jesus to care for the sick, the bereaved, and the dying.

ROCC

Rebuilding Our Catholic Church - A city wide youth group, in partnership with SKY (Sault Catholic Youth) which is concerned with training youth to be leaders of other youth.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Our mission is...to live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy. We meet monthly on the first Wednesday of each month following the 7pm Mass. We meet in the Blessed Margaret Room (off the main hall).

Youth

Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish brought ROCC to Sault Ste. Marie. It continues to grow - our youth draw closer to Christ through weekly meetings and retreats and bring others to Him through evangelization
