Fr. Michael Williams
Fr. Michael Williams, ordained on June 3, 1994, began serving as Pastor of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish on September 1, 2004. He had previously been the Pastor of St. Monica Parish in Wawa for eight years. He also served one year previous to that in St. Patrick's Parish in Sudbury, and one year at St. Gerard Majella Parish in Sault Ste. Marie.
Fr. Michael was born and raised in the town of Lively, now part of the city of Greater Sudbury. His home Parish was St. Piux X, and it was there that Fr. Michael was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Jean-Louis Plouffe.
Fr. Michael served as a Pastoral Intern at Precious Blood Cathedral Parish in Sault Ste. Marie, and was ordained a Deacon there on April 24, 1993. Previous to that, he had earned his Honors Degree in Philosophy from King's College (University of Western Ontario) in London, ON., and his Masters of Divinity Degree from St. Peter's Seminary (University of Western Ontario).
